How do I know which Santa® Snow product to use?

You can enhance your holiday decor with our 2 types of snow – aerosol and non-aerosol. Each type has specific applications and uses, so you can choose the one that fits your project best. Both types of snow should be used out of reach of children and pets.

Our aerosol snows are water-based and have been formulated to mimic real snow. They can add a holiday look to centerpieces and other decorative arrangements, tips of evergreen branches, and wreaths. Avoid spraying on furniture, woodwork, walls, curtains and rugs, and tinted film on window surfaces.

  • Our Santa® Snow comes in either a 13oz (499-0506) or 18oz size (499-0505). This spray tip sprays a heavier stream and creates a more textured look.
  • Our Santa® Sno Blower® (499-0523S) has a unique spray nozzle that sprays a lighter mist. It also has greater directional control, focuses the spray and minimizes cleanup.

Our non-aerosol Santa® Plastic Winter Snow (499-0511) is fine, light flakes of plastic that can be reused year after year. It is ideal for miniature village and railroad scenes, centerpieces, and store display windows.

What is the best way to use Santa® Snow on a Christmas tree?

Our aerosol snows are water-based and have been formulated to mimic real snow. Unlike the flocking that many local garden centers apply to trees, there is no wax or spray adhesive in these formulas. So, the easiest way to add a snowy look to your Christmas tree is the following:

  • Put a sheet or tree bag under the tree to catch any over spray.
  • Add the lights to the tree, then unplug them.
  • Spray the tips of the branches and allow the snow to dry. This may take up to 6 to 8 hours.
  • Decorate the tree!

Can the Snow products be used indoors and outdoors?

Our Snow sprays can be used indoors or outdoors. However, if used outdoors, the weather (like rain for example) will affect them. Santa® Plastic Winter Snow should only be used indoors.

How long does it take for the aerosol Snow to dry?

If you spray either Santa® Snow or Santa® Sno Blower on an object at room temperature (65F – 70F), the dry time can be up to 6 to 8 hours. If you spray either product on a cold, exterior window, the dry time will be longer. In short, colder temperatures or higher humidity causes longer dry times.

What if my child or pet eats any Snow product?

Please remember to keep snow out of the reach of children and pets. However, if your child or pet should take a lick, it is highly unlikely that it would be harmful. Watch them for 1 hour and make sure they have water to drink. If there is any sign of illness, you may choose to call your doctor or vet.

How can I get Santa® Snow off of clothing?

Allow the snow to dry. Brush off any excess snow. Then, follow the clothing label for cleaning.

How can I clean up?

Santa® Snow can be removed easily! To remove from decorated windows and mirrors, simply brush off loose particles (using either a brush or the brush attachment on a vacuum), spray with any glass cleaner, and dry with paper towels. Remember to vacuum up any loose particles.

Santa® Plastic Winter Snow can be removed with a brush, broom or vacuum.
